170 Hours TESOL/TEYL Certification
The Teach Oceania 170-hour TESOL Certificate empowers the international educator with a foundation in TESOL methodology and grammar knowledge on which a specialism of 50 hours in Teaching English to Young Learners (TEYL)/Teaching English to Children is built. The Teach educator can prepare more extensively as well as intensively for different facets of handling young learner lessons effectively.
Our TESOL course provides teachers with the ability to qualify and deliver specialized English lessons online with confidence. The TESOL Certificate is designed to engage learners and progress them on their education adventure.
Teach educators are able to progress through the TESOL Certificate course and onto specialist areas for further delivery opportunities and ultimately rewarding and exciting career development in the TESOL industry.
Successful achievement of the Teach Oceania 170-Hour Certificate in TESOL requires the candidate to complete
- Two Core units (80 Hours TESOL Foundation + 40 Hours TESOL Grammar)
- Completion of TEYL course (50 Hours)

TEYL Course
Teaching English to Young Learners (TEYL) is a program designed to specifically introduce EFL educators in the theory and practice of teaching English to young leaners. TEYL offers candidates teaching styles, learning methodologies and practical application techniques required to instruct and implement ‘day to day’ use of English from a child’s perspective.
Presented through a series of sequential lessons and tasks, candidates will enjoy and further empower their knowledge to communicate their learning techniques, enabling young students to experience in English in a practical way.

This 170-hour course is divided into three core units of 80 hours of TESOL methodology and 40 hours of grammar articulation focus, followed by 50 hours of core content in Teaching English to Young Learners (TEYL). Course material and learning practice prepare candidates for both online and face to face lesson delivery.
